Michael McNamara, age 66, of Glen Ellyn. Preceded in death by the love of his life, Kathleen Kirby; dear son of Georgiana and the late Richard McNamara; fond brother of Kathleen Pelafas, Maureen (George) Spaniel, and Eileen (Jim) Cianci; uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Mike was raised in Berwyn where he graduated from Morton West High School. He was the starting varsity quarterback, class of 1971. After high school, Mike entered the Army and served in Korea. He was an avid sports fan rooting for the Bears, Hawks, and White Sox. Employee of Hines VA Medical Center for 41 years.

Mike was a great guy. He and I went to grade school together and would often hang out together after school.
He was a good athlete but humble. After high school we would run into each other and pick up like old friends do. I will miss him dearly.
