James Raymond Leppert II, age 41, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2013. Jim will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Ashley; his daughter, Rachel; parents, James and Gloria Leppert; sister and brother-in-law, Craig and Maria (Leppert) Baumgartner; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Emily Leppert; mother-in-law, June Cole; brother-in-law, Kevin Cole; many beautiful nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Born and raised in Berwyn, Illinois, Jim was an avid sports fan: 'da Bears, a movie lover and an accomplished swimmer at Iowa State. After his move to Michigan, Jim later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Aquinas College. Jim's career in sales and business development was centered in the computer and information technology fields. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.

I knew Jim since kindergarten. It may be hard to believe but I usually had a problem getting "chicks" if he was around.
He was very athletic, smart, great Trumpet player and a great friend to many
Every time I go back to the "neighborhood" of course I head up Ridgeland, I pass his house as well as many others "Donahues" and many others I grew up with.
We had a lot of fun back then!
