FRANCESCA IRENE LAKAS With great sorrow we announce the passing of Francesca Irene Lakas, 58, on April 23, 2014. Born in Washington, DC she lived in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband of 34 years, Gregory Young Lakas. Mother of Maria Cavallo (Tony) and William Lakas (Crystal); grandmother of Lucas Cavallo and Noelle Lakas; daughter of the late Mary and Dino Economides; sister of Mino Economides (Fotini), the late Bill Economides (Patricia), Chris Economides, Reagan Economides, and Frank Economides (Dina). My siblings and I knew the Economides very well. They were our neighbors in Woodhaven. We practically grew up together. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear of Francisca's passing. We were regularly sitting next to one another in class so we knew each other in that way during high school. Although I didn't know her well, I remember her being very sweet and having a beautiful smile, which I can still see in her more recent photos. I send my deepest sympathies and wishes for peace to all her family and friends.
