KATHLEEN S. HAMMETT  (Smarey) (Age 51) Of Poolesville, MD, formerly of Bethesda, MD, died September 6,
2006, peacefully in her home. She was the daughter of the late Aloysius J. Smarey and Doris B. Smarey.
Services were already held at Collins Funeral Home.
She accomplished many things in her short life, to name a few, after working with Montgomery County Public
Schools for 10 years, she moved back to her childhood home in Wood Acres to care for her parents and
handicapped brother.  Although that was a full time job, she was able to go back to school and get her AA
degree in the healthcare field.  Her love and devotion to the elderly and handicapped landed her a position
with the Respite Services of Mont. Co. Recently, she successfully got her real estate license. When she found
time for herself she enjoyed shopping, relaxing at the beach and traveling.
She is survived by her loving companion of 25 years, Rusty Williams; her brother, Jody Smarey; daughter and
son-in-law, Kathy and Bill Ferah; grandsons, Adem and Tony; and long distant cousins.
She is extremely missed by family and friends. We love you!
