Jane S. Wilkes Businesswoman

Jane S. Wilkes, 52, who co-founded and since 1998 operated an online
business selling rare and antique prints, died of cancer October 28 [2008]
at her aunt's home in Chevy Chase [Maryland]. She was a resident of
Queenstown [Maryland], on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Mrs. Wilkes had started the Vanity Fair Print Co. with her second husband.

Jane DeChantal Suss was born in Washington [DC] and raised in Friendship
Heights. After graduating from Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda in 1973,
she was a draftsman for a home design company and also worked independently
in that field.

In the early 1990s, she moved to Queenstown [Maryland] from Montgomery
County [Maryland] and was a piano player and singer under the name Jane De
Chantel. She performed mostly at Eastern Shore restaurants.

In the mid-1990s, she received a bachelor's degree summa cum laude and a
master's degree in social work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore
County [Maryland].

She was a former member of the Catholic Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament
in Washington [DC].

Her marriage to Samir Mounzer ended in divorce. She was separated from her
second husband, John Wilkes, of Springfield, Tennessee.

Besides her husband, survivors include four sisters, Susan Jones of
Germantown [Maryland], Rosemary Cammaroto of Potomac [Maryland], Madeline
Suss of Bethesda and Jennifer Gilmer of Bethesda [Maryland]; and three
brothers, Christopher "Kip" Suss of North Beach, Maryland, Jonathan "Jack"
Suss of Silver Spring [Maryland] and Fredric Suss of Easton [Maryland].
