H. Rebecca Wiprud, 51, of Marlborough, MA, died Monday, September 18, 2006 at her home, following a long illness. Born in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of Helen R.W. Hills, of Warwick, MA, and the late Grant W.Wiprud. Ms. Wiprud spent her childhood years in the Washington D.C. area and graduated from Walter Johnson High School. She attended the University of Maryland at College Park, George Washington University and Simmons College Graduate School of Management, Boston, MA. She had been employed in the Framingham and Marlborough area since 1987. She was highly respected as an executive administrative assistant at Stratus Computer, Inc, Hemasure, Inc.,Whatman, and prior to her illness, Averion, Inc. Southborough, MA. Rebecca enjoyed her many friends, her garden, her books, and her home, which was always enriched by a much loved dog. Besides her mother, she is survived by her devoted friend; Frank Clark, of Marlborough, her sister; Valerie Wiprud Allen, of Bisley, Great Britain, her brothers; Theodore Wiprud and Brian Wiprud, both of Brooklyn, NY, her nieces and nephews; Allegra and Marlon Wiprud, of Brooklyn, NY, Margaret and Jenny Allen and Richard Allen, of Bisley, Great Britain, and her step-father Ralph Hills, of Warwick, MA. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA. Rev. Betsy Waters, Pastor of the First Church Congregational, Marlborough will officiate. An hour of visitation will be held from 10:00 -11:00 prior to the service.
