Presley Flanary - Class Of 1998


BIG STONE GAP, Va. — Presley Lee Flanary, 28, died Saturday (Dec. 27, 2008) at Salisbury, N.C. He was a graduate of Powell Valley High School and formerly attended the First Assembly of God Church, Big Stone Gap. He was loved by many who will sadly miss him. Presley had a great love for his dog Jinx. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Doris D. Frazier, Donald L. Frazier; grandmother, Mary Flanary; great grandmother, Nancy Diets. Presley is survived by his mother, Donna Frazier Flanary of Mooresville, N.C.; father, Billy Scott Flanary of Kingsport; half sister, Kaitlyn of Kingsport; four aunts, Tammy Frazier, Kim Murray and husband, Andy, Judy Kelley, Janice Flanary; three uncles, Carson Flanary, Tracey Flanary, Kenneth Flanary; grandfather, Herbert Flanary; two great-grandparents, Warren F. Diets, Ruby Frazier; special nephew and niece, Jesse and Emily Murray; several great aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Roy A Green Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. today before services. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Roy Smith officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for the procession to the cemetery. Roy A. Green Funeral Home, Appalachia is in charge of arrangements.

What happened to him? He was so funny and nice in school.
