BIG STONE GAP, Va. - Kathy Riggs, 51, Big Stone Gap, Va., loving mother, sister and friend passed away July 6, 2007 at Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital, Big Stone Gap, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glendon W. and Katie L Goins.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Christy and Beth Riggs, Lexington, Ky; sister, Sheila Breeding and husband, Danny, Surgoinsville, Tenn.; four special nieces, Shannon Breeding Jones and husband, Scott, Mt. Carmel, Tenn., Karen Breeding Wilhjelm and husband, Matt, Johnson City, Tenn., Heather and Lauren Moses; special nephew, Aaron Moses; great nieces, Carly Wilhjelm and Lexie Herndon; special friends, Deborah and Holly Poe, Arnie and Darlene Riggs, Mary Lynn Moses, Liz Riggs McNabb and Cathy McKinney.
Graveside services will be today at 3 p.m. at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap, Va. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kathy Riggs Memorial Bench Fund at Wachovia Bank, 216 Wood Ave. East, Big Stone Gap, Va., 24219.
