BIG STONE GAP, Va. - Keith Alan Perry, 48, passed away Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006) at home, after an extended illness.
He was owner/operator of Perry's Body Shop in Norton, Va., where he worked for several years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and all-around sportsman. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Penny (Horton) Perry; daughter, Keisha Perry; his parents, Jimmy and Ruth Perry of Big Stone Gap; three brothers, Jimmy Perry, Jr., and Shawn Perry, both of Big Stone Gap and Jeff Perry of Louisville, Ky.; and two sisters, Deborah Flanary and Susan Ashley, both of Big Stone Gap.
Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap.
Services will be conducted 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Dalton officiating.
Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Horton Family Cemetery in Big Stone Gap.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to go in procession.
Pallbearers will be Frank Tucker, Pat Kilgore, Doug Nickels, Mark Nickels, Brian Collins, Johnny Ray, Doug Owens, Roger Sturgill, Travis Horton and Shawn Perry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Horton, Scott Meade, Gary Flanary, Darrell Ashley, Bobby Collins, Barry Needham, Jeff Perry, Jimmy Perry, Jr., Dennis Rose, Ronnie Perry, Estell Williams, Mark Light, Gil Amburgey, Bill Stone, J. D. Morris, Wayne Cline, Clyde Snouzer and all his insurance adjuster friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Keith's name to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 246, Abingdon, Va. 24210.
