BEVERLY DAFFRON 1961-2007 Beverly DeMoisey Daffron, 46, formerly of Big Stone Gap, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 14, 2007, at her home in Durham, N.C. She was a graduate of Powell Valley High School in Big Stone Gap and the Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland, Fla. She was a member of the East Stone Gap United Methodist Church and the Summit Church of Durham, N.C. Beverly was a gift from the Lord. Each night after reading to the boys, they would pray and end with a shout, "They will be men of God." She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Juannie DeMoisey; her parents, Stuart "Moose" and Mary DeMoisey; and a brother, Buddy DeMoisey. Family received friends 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the East Stone Gap (VA) United Methodist Church. Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m., Monday in the church worship center with Dr. Ken Sprinkle officiating. Committal services were at 11 a.m., Tuesday in Glencoe Cemetery. Family and friends met at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m., Tuesday at the cemetery. Beverly requested no flowers for her service and memorial donations to be made to either the East Stone Gap United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 186, East Stone Gap, Va. 24246 or to the Summitt Church 1738 Hillandale Road, Durham, N.C. 27705. E-mail condolences may be sent to holding@compunet.net.
