Bradley Eugene Lawson (Descendant of Wilkerson Lane of Scott Co. His great grandmother Addie (Lane) Moore was b. Scott Co.) BIG STONE GAP, Va. — Bradley Eugene Lawson, 38, passed away Saturday (Dec. 20, 2008) in Big Stone Gap, Va. He was a native of Big Stone Gap and had lived in Erwin, Tenn. and Jonesborough, Tenn. since 2002. He was a 1988 graduate of Powell Valley High School, where he played football on the 1985 State Championship Team. He was a former employee of Mullican Lumber Co. in Appalachia, Va. He was a member of Ayers Chapel Church in Big Stone Gap. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Powers; and his paternal grandfather, Howard Boyce Lawson. He was a loving husband to his wife of 13 years, Dee Dee Lawson; loving and devoted father of two daughters, Breanna Hope Lawson and Kaitlyn Faith Lawson, Jonesborough; parents, Brad Lawson and Nell Wells and Sandra Lawson and Tim Camp, all of Big Stone Gap; maternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Powers of East Stone Gap, Va.; paternal grandmother, Mary Baker of Wise, Va.; a sister-in-law and her husband, Jill and Rick Mullis and their son, Colton Mullis of Gray. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. James Ray Holcomb officiating. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Riverview Cemetery in East Stone Gap, Va. Family and friends will meet 10:20 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Jordan Grigg, Rex Grigg, Michael Prewitt, Matthew Stidham, Kelly Stidham and Jeff Riley. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Mullis, Tim Camp, Jessee and Andy Caldwell.
