Brad James Black
HELENA - Brad James Black was born on July 4, 1977, in Billings. He enjoyed an active life as a Montanan for almost 25 years. On Sunday, May 26, 2002, Brad was killed in an automobile accident near Helena.
Brad grew up west of Billings with a loving family and many terrific friends. He attended Arrowhead Elementary and Will James Junior High School. He graduated from Billings West High in 1996. Brad attended the University of Montana College of Technology and graduated in 2000 with a degree in building maintenance engineering.
Brad had a passion for the outdoors. An avid fisherman and hunter, he spent countless hours enjoying the mountains, hills and streams that made Montana the perfect place for him.
Brad was a skilled carpenter and could fix or build anything. Brad was employed by Montana Rail Link and was living and working out of Helena.
One of Brad's greatest qualities was his dedication to his friends and family. His positive spirit touched our lives and brightened our days. We will always remember Brad with a smile on his face, fiery red hair, and a fishing pole close by.
Brad is survived by his loving parents, Jim and LaVaun Black; his devoted sisters, Michelle and Laura, and Laura's husband Brian Fikes, of Tupelo, Miss. He is also survived by his grandparents, L.J. and Jean Baker of Glasgow, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa Bessie and Bill Black of Dodson.

Its a shame that as we start new lives, our past can be left behind. Braad was a good friend in High School and it shames me that I just now know that he passed. You will be missed
