Adrianna Christine Sloan

PORTLAND, Ore. - Adrianna Christine Sloan, 26, of Portland, formerly of Billings, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2004.

She was born on Sept. 27, 1977, in Louisville, Ky., a daughter to Anneke and David Sloan. She joined her big sister, Erin, and her big brother, Garrett. In 1978, the Sloan family moved to Billings, where Adri attended Arrowhead School, Will James Middle School and Billings West High School before attending and graduating from University of Puget Sound. She was currently in Portland attending Portland State University Program to achieve a Masters degree in writing.

Adrianna was preceded in death by her father, Dr. David Sloan.

She is survived by her mother, Anneke; her grandmother Gysbertha DeVries; her sister Erin; her brother Garrett; her uncle, Dr. M. Mallett; her aunt Leonora Balls; and numerous cousins.

Adri's choice of death stunned her family. She was always a joy and a bright spot in the family, especially with her infectious laughter and her energy that encouraged us all. We will all miss her the rest of our lives. She would want us all to make the most of our abilities and live a meaningful and happy life, each and every day, and not to take things to seriously. We should talk to each other, hug, respect and accept each other. This is what we'll strive to do our dear, dear Miss Adri.
