many thanks to Jon Moe for sending a copy of Donna's Billings Gazette Obituary;

Donna Marie (Bier) LaBard-Pearl had worked for Pierce Packing Co, as business assessor clerk for Yellowstone County, for Montague Jewelers and as a right-of-way agent for Montana Department of Highways until 1982, when she retired because of ill health.

She was born on a farm in Stutsman County near Medina, ND, a daughter of Theodore and Viloa Bier. She attended elementary school in North Dakota until moving with her family to Billings in 1956. She graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1965.
Survivors include her husband Vern A Pearl of 2226 Golden Blvd; her mother and stepfather John and Viola Maciel of Billings; her father of Warden, WA; four brothers, Vernon T of Cooling, ID, Duane D of Baton Rouge, LA, Clarence R of Billings and Glen D of Spokane, WA; three sisters, Mrs. Lester (Arlean) Atwood of Billings, Mrs. Gary (Judi) Baird of Denver, CO, and Mrs. David (Shirley) Callihan of Ketchikan, AK; and a foster sister, Mrs. Mel (Diana) Perry of Utah.

Donna was my cousin, we were best friends. Was so saddened that her bright light and beautiful smile will be no more.
