today, i received this message from Sharon Senechal (Elliott),
I understand that Janet Forrester was injured in an ATV accident around Hamilton MT (not sure exactly what day), hit her head but seemed to be okay, went to sleep and didn’t wake up. She was life flighted somewhere, stabilized in a coma, then life flighted to Billings. She was removed from life support yesterday and passed.

Janet was my oldest living friend. We met in Sunday school at about 3 or 4 years old. I felt like I should put the news on the website earlier but couldn't seem to communicate much for a day or so.Thanks to Sharon. Her account is pretty accurate, but I think Janet was closer to the Pipestone area. (I never shared her love of 4-wheeling so never knew exactly where she went.)
Betty Ferguson (Hammond) and I were with Janet and her daughter when she was removed from life support, with much of her remaining family nearby at the hospital. She left peacefully. She felt increasingly ready to move on since her mother and two of her brothers had passed. I knew she was ok with going.
Janet lived an amazing life. She and Betty broke the molds early. In high school, they were the only two girls in the mechanical drawing class--and usually got the best grades.
After her kids were grown she began driving over the road coaches for Karst Stages. She took all kinds of tour groups everywhere. She finally bought her own place -- a big older house and when she retired her gardening time began. She had a great garden every year! She also rescued, refinished and restored a lot of beautiful wooden furniture to fill that house.
Her other passion was 4 wheeling with her family and friends. She always towed her own toy hauler trailer with a powerful pickup truck whenever she was off on an adventure. She was doing what she loved to her last days. She always did things her way.
Susan Shirley (Zimmerman)
So sad for all of you who loved her. She did it "her way" though. I didn't know her as an adult as you did, but will never forget the little girl with the beautiful eyes and braids. Rest in Peace.

today, i received this Janet Forrester rememberance
from Margie Schultz Smith;
"She was a friend of many years. We had a number of 'adventurous' things together... We both liked horses, and have a great picture of us on ponies, riding English saddles on a ranch in late 1980s... Had kinda lost track of each other in last few years, but occasionally had a brief visit... Had been going to call her, to share a laugh, but sadly, waited to long...."
