I had lost track of Dennis over the years. I have such great memories of him. He was one of my first boy friends. He and Jack Metlor and Vicki Price and I used to hang out together and go to the dances at Lincoldn and the 'Y'. Do any of you remember those events when we lined up against opposite sides of the gym and every once in awhile danced???? He was just such an all around fun guy with a good sense of humor.  I remember he liked to play jokes on people and you always felt special when you were the object  of one of this jokes or pranks.

I too remember Dennis as such a sweet heart. He was such fun at a dance.

Sorry to hear about Dennis. Was a good friend at Lincoldn and Senior. Good and not so good [mischevious] memories. Dennis and Jack Mettler were very good friends. Ran with Dennis and Larry highland on numerous occasions. So sad. As the song goes "Much too young to be this damn old".

Hey, Janet, Dennis was my first boyfriend , too, only we go back to first grade at Highland school . We all remember that great fun sense of humor. In grade school he sometimes got the same "handle" as his brother Tom - " I'm Dennis West the big fat pest".

What beautiful tributes made to one of our best! I am not surprised to find that he was an outstanding citizen in his Wyoming town.

Robyn, I think your relationship with Dennis began sometime earlier as you were born the same day.

I also remember Dennis fondly from our days at Highland School.  He always kept us entertained!  It is sad to hear that we lost yet another classmate to cancer!
