Gary Roush

this morning, i received a message from Dick Clark

stating that he had seen a notice of Gary's Passing.

Gary Roush and his parents attended American Lutheran Church too, so we saw them every week at church. Our parents were friends. Gary was in our Confirmation Class and was commended for his faithfulness. His parents invited four of us couples to have breakfast at their house after the Senior Prom. I still have a picture of that special time. I attended his wedding at the Yellowstone Country Club. Gary and Kim Hart were friends. I'm sorry to hear about his passing.

Gary and I were pretty close in high school. Among my memories is the two of us driving in my MGA to the Canadian Rockies.  On the way north, the generator failed near Lovano, MT, where we spent the night in a barn while the local maechanic tried (unsuccesfully) to fashion a new set of brushes.  In the morning he charged up the battery, we drove to Missoula to get the car repaired, and then continued our journey. Jan and I were friends with him and his then wife Rollie in Denver in the early 70's.  We then lost touch until a chance encounter a couple decades later on 12th street NW in downtown Washington, DC (small world).  As I recall, he was breeding great danes in Williamsburg.  It seems odd the only obituary (from the Newport News Daily Press), which I stumbled across doing a google search, is so lacking in details. RIP, Gary.

I mostly remember Gary from band, a really nice guy.  Mary Lou remebers him from earlier years before he was with us at Senior.  It is good there are still some of us left to remember.

I also remember Gary beginning with Highland School.  I picture him with his saxophone hanging around his neck from many years in band.  He was such a nice guy!  Sad to hear about his passing!

Gary was one of my favorites. I loved listening to music with him. I never pass his house without remembering him. He had a blue LP of "Cast Your Fate to the Wind." I'm sorry he has left us.

Gary and I were good friends.  Both he and I were in band, and he was one heck of a sax player.  Sad to see him go.

I was really saddened to read about Gary's passing.  We were close friends when coming from Lewis and Clark Jr. along with Rich Hanson.  I recall many hours at Gary's family room listening to music.  Lots of jazz (Dave Brubeck, Vince Guaraldi).  Many BS sessions. A fishing trip to Yellowstone.  Riding around town.

I visited his folks while I attended the 10th reunion.  He was really into the whippet breed of dog.

I was so sorry to hear of Gary's passing.  He was my boyfriend for awhile in high school and I just remember really liking him and that he was always very nice to me.  I remember going out with him once after I was in college and I think it just dwindled from there.  He was SO talented and smart (I think he had degrees in accounting and engineering)...and I, too, had heard somewhere over the years that he raised Great Danes.  Rest In Peace, Gary.

I remember band class with Gary- he was so talented with his sax. My clarinet didn't stand a chance.
