Bryce Patrick Barth passed away quietly in his sleep on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011. Bryce was born on Dec. 12, 1967, in Sheridan, Wyo., to Benno and Kathryn Barth. Bryce moved to Billings when he was 6 months old and resided in Billings his entire life. He graduated from Billings West High School in 1987.

Bryce began working at Buttrey's (now Albertsons) as a courtesy clerk immediately after graduation and worked there until the time of his death.

He was involved in the Special Olympics program and the Holy Name Society at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Bryce was very proud to be a part of Relay for Life, having been a cancer survivor. He also enjoyed bowling with his friends

Bryce will most be remembered as a gentle giant and a man who knew no strangers. Everyone was his friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benno Barth and his fraternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his mother Kathryn Gerhardt Barth; brothers, Mark (Dannette) Barth of Billings, Chuck (Debbie) Barth of Naperville, Ill.; sisters, Georgine (Mike) Hoffman of Blaine, Wash., and Jonell Robinson of Billings. Also surviving are nephews and nieces, Bryan Barth, Kevin Barth, Michelle (Barth) Dailing, Michael Barth, Jamie Hoffman, Josh Hoffman and Brooke Robinson, and great-nieces Ruby Grace and Lola Belle Dailing.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 24th and Colton Blvd. in Billings.
