Does anyone have any memories of our teachers?

Kevin Wood reminded me today:

Sister Bart with her classic science activity allowing us all to pass mercury throughout the classroom in our bare hands!

Sr. St Thomas standing in the hallway instructing everyone to walk with our arms folded and eyes straight ahead.  Never a smile!  Scared me to death!!!

I remember Sr. Bart telling us many times, during her lessons, that she was friends with Charles Schwab of Oyster Bay, Long Island.  I don't think any of knew anything about the man exxcept he seemed important.

I'm not sure how accurate my memory is but I have shared over the years that in kindergarten we had 1 nun and 95 students.  We were 4 and 5 years old.  How did she do it?  Still wondering how many students were in our K class.  So very different today.  No walking in the hall with arms folded, but staff still trying to have kids walk that way.  Sr. Mary James broke many yardsticks on my butt but my behavior didn't change.  Alexis do you remember?
