George A Shearer, was the fourth son of Clem and Estelle Shearer.  Born in Hale County Alabama on May 14, 1935 and was one of five children.  George passed on June 20, 2009 in Philadelphia PA.  His two brothers, Clem Jr,. and Lee grant, his two sisters, Lucille and Jesse Lee, and one son, Vernon preceded him in death.  Shortly after graduating from U. S. Jones High School in Demopolis AL, where he was an avid football and track star, George enlisted into the U S Army.  After leaving the armed services, George relocated to Philadelphia PA.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Doris; five sons, Robert, Aaron, Cary, George Jr., and Joseph; one daughter Ivena.
