Willie "Big Willie" McDaniel Sr. 79 of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on October 25, 2017 in the Mercy Regional Hospital following a long illness.
He was born in Birmingham, AL coming to Lorain in 1969. He was a graduate of Wenonah High School in Birmingham, AL.
Mr. McDaniel was employed as a stamper for US Steel Corp. of Lorain, retiring after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, bingo and spending time with family and friends.
He will be missed by his wife of 30 plus years, May E. McDaniel of Lorain, daughters: Cynthia Green of Alabama, Deborah F. (David) Johnson of Lorain, Stephanie Morgan of Illinois, sons: Willie McDaniel Jr. and Eric McDaniel both of Lorain, Wimberly Hordrich of Birmingham, AL, 35 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters: Sara McDaniel of Atlanta, GA and Rebecca Jackson of Birmingham, AL, and brother: Elder Joseph (Gloria) McDaniel of Lorain.
Preceded in death by first wife Virginia McDaniel, parents, Murphy and Ammie McDaniel, 3 sisters and 7 brothers.
