Margie Bennett (Miller) - Class Of 1965

Margie Ann (Bennett) Miller, 75, passed away on March 4, 2023 at North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Margie, known to most as Ann, was born October 6, 1947 in Bessemer, AL to Tobie and Martha Bennett (Bettis). She was a graduate of Wenonah High School in Birmingham, AL. She met the love of her life, Roger Miller in Fort Lauderdale, FL. They were married on August 4, 1967. Together, they were blessed with two sons, Roger Jr and Daryl, and daughter, Rozann. She served as a Children’s Pastor at Abundant Life Christian Center from 1983 to 1997 in Margate, FL. She and her husband Roger later developed the Sonshine Youth Ministry, were members of Campers on Mission and she was a beloved member of Lighthouse Christian Center in Mayo, FL.

Ann had a great love for Jesus and lived a life full of the Fruit of the Spirit - Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. She enjoyed ministering to children and women, sharing the Word of God and the importance of prayer and worship. She was an example to so many and a shining light to all who knew her.

Ann is preceded in death by her mother, Martha, her father Tobie and her son Daryl.
Ann is survived by her loving husband Roger, son Roger Jr, daughter, Rozann, grandsons, Daryl, Roger III, Tyrese, and Seth, granddaughters, Shia, Jasmine, Alexis, Dedra, Zalyhia, Essence, Lameisha, and Angel, and great grandchildren, Devante, Kylie, Akeer, Amar and Storm. She is also survived by her siblings Tobie, Billy, Rebecca, Erma, Charsie, Christine and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Lighthouse Christian Center in Mayo, FL.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
