Henry Marable Jr., Jan. 18, 1947-July 21, 2014, Homegoing is 1:00 Saturday at St. Matthew African Methodist Episcopal, 2571 Goss Street-Oxmoor. Pastor R.U. Brown, Officiant. Inhumation follows at Forest Grove. "Butch" was reared in a Christ-centered home by parents, Henry, Sr. and Gertrude Alexander Marable. He was a lifelong member of St. Matthew where service was rendered in many capacities including Steward. He graduated Wenonah High School in 1965, attended Miles College and retired from U.S. Steel. A son, Precillius Holt and brother, Steven preceded him in death. Fond memories live in the hearts of a devoted wife, Ada Craig Marable; children, Henry, III (Charlotte), Pert (Sheila), Siguard and VaShaun Marable, Nicky (Bryon) Moore, and Robert Elliott, Jr.; sisters, Dr. Melvenia Marable, Linda (James) Hudson, Vayonna Dorsey and numerous other relatives.
