Barbara Jean Prather Davis was born to the late John E.and Mattie Pearl Prather on Nov. 4,1944 in Newman, GA and grew up in Birmingham,AL. She attended Wenonah High School and moved to New York City to work and pursue an education in nursing. Barbara confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Powderly Church of Christ. She was preceeded in death by her sister, Mattie, and brothers, John and Willie. She leaves to cherish her memory a brother, Lee (Delaine), sisters Clara (Willie) Edwards, Doris Wilson; brother in law, James Davis, all of Birmingham, AL; adopted daughter Tomeka (Myron) King of Dallas, TX. Graveside services will be held Fri. May 8,20 at Oakland Cemetery at 12 N. Public visitation will be held Thurs. May 7,20 from 12-7 PM.
