Judge Lacey

Oct. 26, 1950 - Jan. 24, 2015 This kind gentleman was faithful to God, family and friends. He was a 1970 graduate of Wenonah High School and completed studies at Lawson State. Judge served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged. A retiree of Merita Bread Company, he was a devoted Trustee of Petty's Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. Precious memories remain with wife of 35 years, Brenda Besteder Lacey; children, Kerry (Anita) Besteder, Jerrell (Keisha) Lacey, Tisha (Damon) King and Shundria Davis; god parents, Anderson and Marjorie Moore; sister, Ruby (Calvin) McIntyre; father-in-law, George Besteder, Sr. and numerous relatives. Service of Memory is 11:00 Saturday at Petty's Chapel, 916 18th Street, Bessemer. Pastor Morris Reese, Officiant. Inhumation follows at Highland. Family Visitation is 5:00 until 7:00 Friday. Calling Hours at Johnson Memorial, Bessemer, Friday Noon until 9:00.  Obituary
