
Alice Thompson Dunn was a Brighton resident and Class of 1973 Wenonah High graduate. Having completed Miles College and UAB, "Faye" was a compassionate Social Worker with the Department of Human Resources with more than 20 years of service. Roosevelt Church of God is where she began her Christian journey that later led her to 28th Street Church of God. She was faithful with the Choir, Sunday School and Matron. The close of life came on Monday, January 4, 2010. Faye was the wonderful mother of Susan (Tyran) Kirkland and Rebecca Dunn; devoted daughter of Clara Thompson; loving sister of Hattie Turner, Carol (Rufus) Head, Joe, Andrew, Frederick (Vanessa), Jesse (Janice) and Jerry (Deborah) Thompson; caring grandmother of Joshua, Kaitlyn and Kyndall. Farewell Ceremony is 1:30 Saturday at New Bethlehem Baptist, 1730 11th Avenue, North-Bessemer. Rev. John Watkins, Officiant. Inhumation follows at Highland.
