Jazz Roots at East Lake United Methodist Church will present its first live performance Friday, July 7 2023 at 6:30 pm in the ............ Auditorium. Pastor Sally Alloca, a visionary in growing and nourishing the core spiritual energy of our Birmingham community in celebrating our past and present by infusing the history and culture of the many Jazz musical talents that surround us. We will reach out to students at our local Elementary,  High Schools, and Colleges as a growing part of our audience to include their parents and music instructors. We will reach out to those who want to hear professional musicians at work as they perform at United Methodist, who do not normally attend Jazz Venues in the core of our city.  This is an excellent venture for Seniors to have an evening out, in a relaxing casual atmosphere where you can wear sandals and introduce your grandchildren to Jazz.

Bo Berry, Conductor of the Birmingham Jazz Heritage Band, and a Birmingham Hall of Fame Inductee and a host of local musicians will get us started in this new venture.

Refreshments  will be catered and served as our Jazz Roots Program at United grows.
