SMITH, VIRGINIA "LYNN" age 65, of Vestavia, AL, unexpectedly left us to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 4, 2012. She was preceded in death by her father James L. Jordan. Lynn laughed easily, loved all of nature, and many close friends who were as dear as family. She retired from Jefferson County as did her father before her. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Jordan Brasher (Phil); mother, Virginia Jordan; sister, Terry Jordan Hyde (Jim), her grandchildren, her greatest joy, Caroline, Julianne and Philip Jr. and "adopted" son, Todd Fields. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Chapel beginning at 11:00AM with burial at Forest Crest Cemetery. Reverend Paul Brasher Officiating.
