Vicki Matousek (Oset Fisher)

Victoria Ann Matousek-Fisher; age 63; left us quietly on August 9, 2009 with her family and friends at her side. Victoria was preceded in death by her loving parents Elizabeth O’Regan and Francis Matousek. She is survived by her loving siblings; Jon (Sue) Matousek of Mundelien, Illinois, Sharon (Steve) Adams of Belleville and Tom (Debbie) Matousek of Leesburg, Florida; and her loving nieces and nephews, Dean, Breanna, Michael, Kyle and Danielle. Victoria was a member of the 1st graduating class of Marian High School in 1965 and went on to graduate from Ferris State University. Upon graduation she began a broad and diversified career when she married Lawrence Oset, a rancher in Round Up, Montana. For twenty years she worked as a rancher’s wife in Montana before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she began a career with the Marriott Corp. Most recently Victoria excelled as a bridal consultant for Macy’s at the Oakland Mall. It was here that Victoria’s very unique and special skills for people were shared. Some things Victoria will always be remembered for is her joy of cooking and entertaining, her love for the sunrises and sunsets in her adopted state of Montana and her brilliance at gin rummy. A memorial service will be held on September 6, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home.
