Gael Anne Rodgers of Farmington Hills, beloved wife of the late Stanley M. Rodgers for 29 years, died July 9, 2013, at Providence Hospital in Southfield. She was 66 years old. Gael was born July 24, 1946, in Detroit to Helen M. (nee Brabson) and James M. Osborne.
A 1964 graduate of Marian High School, Gael attended college at the University of Detroit. She was a computer expert, and an avid crafter who specialized in jewelry making. Proud of her Irish Heritage, Gael enjoyed reading, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family. The love of her life was her husband Stan, who preceded her in death in 2007.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Gael was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Gael is survived by her children, Mary (J.J.) Fox, Joseph (Donna) Terrasi, and Jason J. Terrasi and grandchildren, Jane, Joseph and Michel Fox, and Jamie and Abigail Terrasi. She is also survived by her siblings, Jim (Gloria) Osborne, Kathy Widger, Mary Dorian (Rick), John (Rosemarie) Osborne, Joan (Billy Ray Clements) Osborne, and Margaret (Bill) O’Neill, and dozens of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Road, Brighton, Saturday at 10:30am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 9:30am.
