I am thinking of you all and remembering fondly our days together when we were young.
After graduation I went to U of M in Ann Arbor, worked at WXYZ-tv, developed an experimental program in communications and self-esteem for Madison Heights, MI intermediate schools, worked for a company that produced huge outdoor rock concerts all over the Midwest that an old boyfriend from Brother Rice was involved in, returned to Ann Arbor to create the U of M Office of Major Events and be its first Director, then was asked to take helm of the campus center there, The Michigan Union. I was only 31 at the time that finished and wanted to get out and see the world instead of taking UCLA's offer to do that same job for them.
In 1980 I left the University, and came to Jackson Hole, WY, the valley at the base of Grand Teton Natl Park, to visit friends and relax. I never left. Developed a marketing program for the Chamber of Commerce, became its executive director, developed a Film Commission and Convention & Visitors Bureau for them, advocated for environmental protection, was the host agency for visits by PResident Clinton, President Bush, and the Soviet Premier Shevardnadze's delegation. In my spare time I flew to Los Angeles for a week 8 times in 2 years to complete a master's degree at Pepperdine's graduate school of business in 1990. I have worked independently ever since then, consulting in strategic planning and organization development. In the mid-1990s I served as interim city manager here in Jackson for nearly a year, and was asked to repeat it a few years later when the position was again vacant. In the early 2000s one of the ski resorts here asked me to be general manager for their hotel and convention operations. But I didn't want that burden and instead stayed with them for a year on a consulting contract. Right now I'm setting up a marketing enterprise for a very famous mountaineer here who is the only person to ever climb and then snowboard down the highest peaks on all 7 continents.
I haven't married as of yet, but shared life for many years with a wonderful fellow whose work took him to Africa, Alaska, Mexico as a wildlife specialist,( I got to go along many times) and when at home here in Jackson Hole, the cowboy life at a large cattle ranch.
I've had an unusual life, not alot of money but a wealth of adventure and variety. If the reunion group puts together any notes on what each of you has been doing, please send me the news? Again, thinking of you all and wishing right up to the last minute that I could be with you all.

Fondly, Sue Young
