I married Troy in 1991. We enjoyed many years of abject poverty as Troy pursued medical school and a family practice residency in Iowa. Because poverty is best pursued as a large group, we had four kids while living on student loans and WIC.
When he was finished with school in 2001, we moved back west. He practices with and is part owner of Community Care, a small chain of urgent care centers.
Because one can never pay enough tuition in a single lifetime, I went back to school two years ago. By the time of the reunion, I should have an MA in English. I plan to eventually get an PhD and teach college level while pretending to write the great American novel.
