
Ronald Wayne Reed, 70
Ronald Wayne Reed, 70 of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born Feb. 7, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of George T. and Edith LaVerne Moon Reed. Ronald was raised in the Snake River area and graduated from Snake River High School in 1962. After graduation he went to an electrical school in Arizona. He then moved to the Seattle, Wash. area and worked in an aircraft plant for Boeing.
He moved to the Salt Lake area and worked numerous jobs in construction. Ronald later moved back to the Blackfoot and Idaho Falls area where he worked on farm jobs and construction of the flour mill in Blackfoot. When that was completed, he then worked for Farmers Merchant.
Ronald also spent many summers in Island Park cutting firewood.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ronald enjoyed gardening, camping, and being outdoors.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert (LaFaye) Reed of Blackfoot and LaVon Reed of Idaho Falls; sisters, Shirley (Myron) Hudson of Idaho Falls, twin sister, Marilyn (Khalil) Jones of Idaho Falls and Nancy Reeves of Pingree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, George L. Reed and sister, LaVerne Reed and two sisters-in-laws, Dian and Marian, and a brother-in-law, Ralph Reeves.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
