Robert J. Burningham

Robert J. Burningham, 62 of Blackfoot passed away Monday, May 9, 2005 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 2 1943 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of James and Ida Johnson Bumingham.

He attended school in Aberdeen, Snake River and Blackfoot. Robert was a member of the Blackfoot Elk's Lodge No.1416 for 30 years. He served in the Army Airborne. '

On Aug 7, 1966, he married Judy Miles in Blackfoot, Idaho.

He worked as a service mechanic for Bauer Equipment for 18 years. He also worked as a contractor doing fmishing work, and as a handyman.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, gardening, caning, camping, four wheeling, wood working and cabinetmaking.

He is survived by his wife Judy Burningham of Blackfoot, daughters, Jamie (Brenn) Williams of Blackfoot, Kathie (Troy) Sorensen of Nampa, Idaho; parents James and Ida Burningham of St, George, Utah; brother, Bruce (Dianna) Burningham of Baker City, Ore.; sisters, Carolee (Velden) Martinsen of Blackfoot, Maro (Everett) Goodwin of St. George, Utah, Janet (Ralph) Greenhalgh of St. George, Utah, and Peggy (Sam) Rothwill of Eagle, Idaho; four grandchildren, Haiden and Garrett William, Sydnie and Ben Sorensen.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Nels & Mathildia Johnson, James & Anrtie Burningham, and his pard Ricochett.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot Idaho.

The family will meet with friend for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery with Military honors presented by Stewart Hoover Post No.23, American Legion.

Cremation services are under the direction of the Hawker Funeral Home.
