Kenneth Myers

Heyworth - The funeral of Kenneth Myers, 48, of RR 2, Heyworth, will be at 10 a.m. today at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington.

The Rev Richard Gray will officiate.  Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery.

Mr Myers, a retired Air Force veteran and former Postal Service employee, died at 8 a.m. Sunday (Oct 27, 1991) at Hinsdale Hospital, HInsdale, of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Feb 8, 1943, at Bloomington, a son of Kenneth and Grace Woith Myers.  He married Starlane Talaga on Sept 5, 1964, in Elmhurst.  She survives in Heyworth.

Other surivors include his mother, Grace Webb, Shady Knolls Nobile Home Park, Bloomington; two sons, Scot of Kent, Ohio and Mark, at home; two daughters, Susan Myers, at home and Michelle Myers, 2408 Rainbow Ave, Bloomington; two brothers, Pete Myers, Savannah, GA, and Raymond Myers, Downs; and two sisters, Juanita Jones, Decatur, and Virginia Adams, RR 2, Bloomington.

His father and stepfather preceded him in death.

Mr Myers was a retired 20-year veteran of the Air Force.  He had been employed as an L.S.M. operator and part-time supervisor at Bloomington Post Office, where he was a former union steward.  He also had been a Cub Scout packmaster.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
