Judy Tynan (Danielson)

Judith Ann Tynan Witzig Danielson (Judy), Judy quietly passed away surrounded by loved ones April 7th, 2026. She was born August 26, 1946, in Bloomington to Kenneth and Madalen Tynan. She graduated from Bloomington High School in 1964. From high school she embarked on a family odyssey with Duane Witzig that resulted in 4 of the finest young men and the prides of her life. Brett Witzig (Michelle) Jackson Michigan, Jeff Witzig (Brenda) Normal, Randy Witzig (Amy) Towanda, and Jake Witzig Bloomington. Duane and Judy parted ways at some time but her love for family never waivered. She grew up the middle child so was the brunt of pranks from her older brother Kenneth (deceased) Florida and younger brother Mike (Sandy) Bloomington. Judy had several jobs over the years but retired from Dennison Ford after 20 years as their body shop secretary and go to person. In her younger years she was known as Mother Witzig, always with a sympathetic ear and guarded pearls of wisdom. In 1984 her family got a little bigger. She married George Danielson and along with his two children Teri (Bloomington) and Shawn (Val) Arizona spent the next 41 years together. Judy was an avid race fan making many trips to various racing venues. Judy and George traveled to many places after retirement enjoying the rv lifestyle and spending most all winters in either Arizona or Alabama. Along their way they made many friends and reconnected with old friends too. She enjoyed family get-togethers with the entire family. Christmas, camping at Hickory Hills, and along the way. She was friends with Duane (Ann) Shirley, Ill even though some thought a little odd. But that was her. Keep the family together as a unit. During her lifetime, she was blessed with 12 grandchildren and at least 8 great grandchildren and Lauren, Tripp, Lizzie. This person was not a hater. She embraced most all things and people. The only two things that might be considered hate is honey, a bad experience, and the local paper which is why, even though she had a subscription, this obit will not appear. Judy was a quiet soul, weather pondering her beliefs in God or keeping her husband grounded from time to time. She had always said, "When I die, I want a party, lots of laughter and happiness but no draft beer". So that is the way it will be, no funeral, no tears, and no draft beer. This will be at a later date. Thank you all for thoughts, prayers, support, and most of all being family. Also, thank you to the nurses and staff at Carle BroMen in Normal and Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana for their gentle care of Judy. And most of all to Dr. Pramern Sriratana and Lyndi Alberts APN from Mid Illinois Hematology for their care for over 30 years.
