Josie--I remember you, Steve Dominick and Eric Brandt sitting behind me in band class. Erick and Steve would empty the valves of their french horns on the floor and you and I would look the other way. I got to know your Dad while working at the Courthouse. You fought the good fight with your disease. I think of you and all the others every year at Relay for Life and Race for the Cure. Earths loss was surely heaven's gain.

Josie was a best friend. We had many fun times. None better than our 10th year reunion. Sue, and Nat you remember the good times... Blessings to your family and friends who remember outstanding character, high moral standards and a smile that could launch a thousand ships. Till next we meet... Love, Jeff and Becky Bair

I had no idea that Josie had passed away.  I remember her from High School with very fond memories!

I have very fond memories of Josie. She was the first girl that made me start to reconsider my policy of ignoring and/or avoiding girls in 7th grade. In 9th grade I took to escorting her to each of her classes until Sherry Dunn politely took me aside and pointed out that I looked like a poor lovesick puppy following her around like that. Later, after I had used all of my detasseling earnings to buy my first car, I offered Josie a ride home and she was kind enough to declare my little Fiat was “cute”. That simple gestor made my day, after having endured much less complimentary opinions.
