Judith Lee “Judy” Sigler Prescher, 69, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at 2:55 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Accolade Healthcare in Pontiac, IL. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Steve Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the memorial home.
Judy was born May 22, 1957, in Bloomington, the daughter of Edward and Norma (Aull) Sigler. She was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Terry Prescher, on May 21, 1983, in Bloomington. He survives. A loving mother, sister, and grandmother, she is also survived by her son, Cameron Prescher of San Antonio, TX; her stepson, Jacob (Tammy) Prescher of Gridley; three cherished grandchildren, Skylar and Isaac Prescher of Gridley, and Elliot Prescher of San Antonio, TX; a brother, David (Diane) Sigler of Bloomington; and a sister, Wanda Sigler of Normal. Also surving are Judy’s 5 best friends, Donna Quinn, Springfield, IL; Debbie Carter, New Port, TN; Laura Johnson, Cochiti Lake, NM; Wendy Flood, Cerrillos, NM; and Gail Norman, Normal, IL and her special dog Chance Toby. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Judy enjoyed spending time with family, playing Uno and Skipbo. Her hobbies include reading, gardening and music. Her favorite movies and TV shows throughout the years was Lost In space, Star Wars, Star Trek, MASH, NCIS, and The Wizard Of Oz. During her younger years she enjoyed camping with her family, and especially loved “spring birds” Judy spent her professional career working first at Funk's Seed and later dedication many years to State Farm Insurance Co. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac and Vitas Hospice for the exceptional care, comfort, and compassion shown to Judy. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
