Kim was born February 23, 1957, in Bloomington, the daughter of Paul Francis and Ella Jane Orrick Bethea. She married Tom Connor on April 16, 1977, in Bloomington. He survives.

Also surviving are three children, Lori Payton, Normal, Rob (Becky) Connor, Colfax and Kevin Connor, Lincoln; eight grandchildren, Kylie, Kenzie and Nick Shook, Noah and Kallon Payton, Brooklynn and Jayde Connor and Briana Goeppinger; three siblings, Mary Weber, Scottsdale, AZ, Jay Bethea, Bloomingdale and Carolyn (Kurt) Oleson, Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Lisa Bethea; brother-in-law, Greg Weber; and sister-in-law, Judy Green.

Kim received her Bachelor and Master's Degree in Music from Illinois State University. She was a music teacher at Lincoln School District for 21 years. Kim was in the choir and was a cantor at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she infamously said "I'm Kim Cantor, your Connor." She was the music director for four years at the Newman Center at ISU and 11 years at Epiphany Catholic Church.

Some of Kim's favorites were April Fool's Day and Halloween, which she celebrated with gusto. She was a great practical joker, especially with her brother Steve.

Kim's two wishes were to make sure everyone has God in their life and to be grateful for something every day. Kim was called a little ball of love by her grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lori Verkler, APN and everyone at Fresenius Kidney Dialysis for their care and support of Kim.

Through Kim's unwavering faith, she had no fear in meeting her savior.
