Sharing the post I just saw from Nancee Flessner about her brother…Our classmate Derek Flessner……….

“It’s been a very sad couple of days but I’m ready to share that my brother, Derek, has passed away. I got the call from my older brother, Drake, yesterday afternoon while at work, the call you never want to receive. We were waiting to make sure all family members had been told before sharing publicly. Derek lived alone and, thankfully, his next door neighbor, apparently an older woman he had befriended or who had befriended him, noticed that she had not seen him in a couple of days or heard him playing his guitar. Concerned, she notified the authorities who entered his house and found him deceased. We learned today, actually just a couple of hours ago, that he had a massive stroke and the autopsy showed evidence of a prior stroke as well. Our relationship wasn’t always perfect, but I loved you more than you’ll ever know and I will miss you, Derek, and pray that you are finally resting in peace. ”

Rest in Peace Derek. We hadn’t been close in awhile but you were a good high school friend.
