Kevin Ray Dunlap, 41, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009, of a sudden illness at the Bloomington Hospital.
Born, December 31, 1967, in Spencer, IA, he was the son of Larry Ray and Glenda J. (Vaught) Dunlap.
Kevin cherished his wife, Kelly, as he referred to her as “my wife-my life.” He doted on all six of his children but was still very much a “mama’s boy.” He enjoyed spending time with his only nephew, Graeme.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Kevin’s hobbies included fishing, playing poker, cooking, and eating. He had an incredible sense of humor and made friends everywhere he went.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly Lynn (Rice) Dunlap; children, Joshua Ray Dunlap, Jeremy Michael Dunlap, Mikaela Renee Dunlap, Kendal Blyer Dunlap, Kiley Marie Taylor, Kace Douglas Witmer; mother, Glenda J. Dunlap; sister, Tanya M. (Dunlap) Axsom and her husband, Gary; and his beloved nephew, Graeme “Gra” Axsom, all of Bloomington. Other survivors include many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Larry Ray Dunlap, in 1994.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the Sanders Pentecostal Church, 6490 S. Fairfax Road, Bloomington, with Rev. Joe Nelson officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Allen Funeral Home or in care of Sanders Pentecostal Church.
