BLOOMINGTON — Charles S. Scharfenberg Sr., 71, of Bloomington, passed away March 13, 2016, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, with his family at his bedside.
He wanted to be cremated. A small private service will be at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two daughters; one son; nine grandkids; and seven great-grandkids.
He loved golfing with his best friends, fishing and motorcycles. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his close friends like brothers and loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. We loved him deeply. He was our patriarch and will remain in our hearts forever.
