There is a counter that only administrators can see that tells how many messages are sent between classmates. We can only see the total count, not who sent them or who recieved them. There have been 0 messages between classmates in this group. That tells me I haven't done my job to help you use this site better. Anyone who is a member of this group can email any other member through the Message Center found under Member Functions. That is as long as we have their email address on file. So feel free to send messages back and forth. If you need help, let me know.

I am sad to report the death of Marilyn Poole of the Class of 1962. She passed away on February 1, 2019. Her obituary is in our In Memory section. God bless her and her family.

Milan,  Thanks for the birthday wishes.  It's hard to believe I'am 75.  Where has the time gone. I would like to wish the class a great 2019.  Also thank you for your time and effort on behalf of the class of "62". It's going to be 80 degrees here in New Braunfels, Texas today.   A hugh difference than we experieced in Carlock, Il..over the years.

Allan

Somebody said that they didn't mind getting old...they just were amazed how fast it happened. Has taken most of us 75 years to get here.

Yes it is a special day.  It's also our 34th wedding anniversary and tomorrow is her birthday. She is younger by one day.

Short story.

In 1981, my Amateur Radio friend got married in Dallas (a month after I met Marie-Antoinette) and I was his best man.  In 1985, he an equal rights person proposed that Marie-Antoinette and I come to Dallas and stand on the 50 yard line of the Dallas Cowboys field and the minister would ask me just before midnight if “I do” and right after midnight (on Marie-Antoinette’s birthday) she could say “I do”.

I said “Who are the Dallas Cowboys?”

Anyway, we were married a block from where Kennedy was shot on February 12th 1985 during the day and not at midnight.  That friend radio call letters  W5GN was my best man.  So this month it's my birthday and our anniversary then her birthday and then Valentines day. A lovely time.

Larry, that sounds great. Congrats !!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow is Breakfast Wednesday, 2/13/2019,  at Shannon's. We meet around 9am. Good food, great people, fun times. Friends getting re-aquainted. Can't beat that. If you have never come to our breakfasts, you are missing something simple yet very valuable. We can all use more friends. This group has made me feel like one of their own and I thank them for that. See you tomorrow.

Milan - Thank you for your good wishes and for all the hours you spend helping us keep up with our classmates. Please correct my name in your records. Just use Sharol Brooks Brandt. We can forget Ann and spell Sharol properly. I am enjoying a beautiful snowfall today in Anchorage. Thanks again for your faithful work. Sharol

It's warming up in Phoenix finally....coldest and longest winter I've experienced in the last 20 years that I've lived here.

We went to Gulf Shores for 3 weeks over Christmas and well after New Years. The whole time we were there, the weather back here was in the 50's. Not as warm as Gulf Shores but pretty nice. Then we came home and winter hit. I think everyone here wants us to go back. (LOL)

Nothing to report here in France. I’m going through old photos.  The French are not interested in my school years.  Maybe some of you can recognize classmates in these photos.  The originals are deteriorating so some photo enhancement is necessary.
