
Beverly Ann Murphy, 73, of Bloomington, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Thursday (June 8, 2017) at Heritage Health, Bloomington.
Beverly’s celebration of life will be from 11 a.m. Friday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with Pastor Stan Motley officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centennial Christian Church of Bloomington.
Beverly was born May 25, 1944, in Bloomington, the daughter of Frederick and Wilma Alene Baum.
She married Howard Murphy on July 18, 1975, and was married more than 37 years. She was blessed to have an already-started family with two stepdaughters, Sandra (Rick) Hamblen, Bloomington, and Katherine (Stan) Motley, Sandwich, and a granddaughter, Gina McFeeters. The greatest joy in her life was when two grandsons came along, Joshua (Christine) Motley and Lucas (Charissa) Motley, and joined their father in the ministry. She also was blessed with eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her two sisters, Bernice Walls, Bloomington, and Barbara (Paul) Burress, Lakewood, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Andrea, Hawaii.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Fred Baum; and a brother-in-law, Don Walls.
Beverly was a member of Centennial Christian Church of Bloomington and worked for State Farm for 30 years.
Beverly will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
