Woman found in car dies.

A 35 year-old Bloomington woman died shortly after she was pulled from a car, parked and running, near Hinthorn Chapel at the south edge of Lake Bloomington about  5:30 p.m. Sunday, according to McLean County Sheriff's Police.

Police said they found a vacuum hose connected from the exhaust pipe to the inside of the car.Foul play in not suspected, police said.

McLean County Deputy Coroner Lawrence Cooper said the death was still under investigation. He refused to release details of the death.

An inquest will be scheduled.

She was taken to Metzler Memorial Home.

Mrs. Thomas was employed by General Telephone Company in Bloomington.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Metzler Memorial Home, with the Rev. William Foree officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thomas was born Feb. 4, 1944, in Chicago, a daughter of John W. and Mary Handley Butler Sr. She married Herbert E. Thomas on March 25, 1962 in Bloomington.

Survivors include her parents, 131 Mobil-Land Home Park; two daughters, Mary Louise and Sonja Ann; and two sons, Timothy Earl and Mark Anthony, all at home; two sisters, Judith Louise Taylor, 618 S. Indianapolis St. and Norma Elaine Miller, RR 3; two brothers, John W. Butler Jr., 303 E. Jefferson St., and David Wayne Butler, Carbondale; and twin granddaughters.
