Donna Fox (Gemberling)

Donna Jean Gemberling, 79, of Normal passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal. 

 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Park Hill Cemetery Mausoleum in Bloomington. Memorial contributions in Donna’s honor may be left to the Humane Society of Central Illinois. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements. 

 

Donna was born on April 15, 1944 in Normal, a daughter to Vernon and Ann (Lusher) Fox. Her parents, and her brother, Vernon Fox, Jr. preceded her in death. 

 

Surviving are her son, David T. Gemberling of Normal; sister, Connie (George) Riebe of Bloomington; and grandchildren, Katie Gemberling of Bloomington and David J. Gemberling of Normal. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

 

Donna graduated with the Class of ‘62 from Bloomington High School. She then worked in banking and was employed by several local financial institutions in Bloomington-Normal.    Donna loved her dogs and  her family and was a kind,  gentle woman who enjoyed helping others.
