Delores Bova

When asked if she would like anything special in her obituary, Dee answered ‘Just the facts.’ So, here are the facts 

Born September 12, 1944 in Bloomington, IL, Delores Ann Bova, 71, passed away on December 1, 2015 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Gladys Jolliff and her husband, John Bova. She is survived by 5 children; Kristal Arnholt of Danville, IL, Becky (Jerry) Crawley of Covington, IN, Nancy (Gregg) Shutt of Danville, IL, Mandy (Shane) Bodine of Champaign, IL and John Bova of Danville, IL. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Tyler Thurman, Kelsey Thurman, Max Thurman, Sam Arnholt, Katie Crawley, Ed Crawley, Joe Crawley, Kenner Shutt, Linna Shutt, Harry Bodine and Libby Bodine. Also surviving is one brother; Jack (Marilyn) Jolliff of Bloomington, IL. 

Now, here is what her family would like you to know. She died as she lived; with courage, strength, faith, grace, humor and love. 

Dee requested no picture. If there was a picture, you would know she was a beautiful woman. She was even more beautiful on the inside. Dee loved a good dessert, gardening, laughter and most of all her family. She taught her children and grandchildren to love unconditionally, to be independent and to laugh at themselves. Dee would not want much more written. She certainly, would not want anyone to cry. Rather, she would want everyone to laugh. If you knew her, think of your fondest memory of her and smile. 

She is loved. 

She will be missed. 

Join her family for a visitation at First United Methodist Church, 1400 North Vermilion, Danville, IL on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by a brief celebration of life and a light meal.
