BLOOMINGTON -- Grace Woosley Schedel, 106, of Milton, Fla., formerly of Bloomington, died at12:45 p.m. Saturday (July 30, 2005) in the Heritage of Santa Rosa in Milton, Fla.
She was born, Nov. 14, 1898, in Murphysboro, the daughter of Alonzo P. and Minnie M. Claypool Woosley. She was united in marriage to Ralph M. Schedel on Aug. 3, 1931, in Paducah, Ky., and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1984. Grace was a longtime resident of Bloomington, and was a teacher at BloomingtonHigh School until 1962.
Survivors include a son John W. (Dixie) Schedel of Milton Fla.. three grandchildren; Thomas A. King of ClevelandOhio; Julie Schedel Finnot of Avoca, Pa.; and Kimberly Schedel Roman of Allen, Texas, and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph; her daughter Barbara King; and two brothers, Kenneth and Clyde Woosley.
A graveside funeral will be in the MuellerHallCemetery in Pinkneyville. Piatt-Harwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
