Obituary for William Richard Mattingly

William Richard Mattingly, 71, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 4:53 P.M. at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Illinois. 

Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. 

The family entrusted Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois, with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mickey Sacry.

William was born on May 2, 1948, in Peoria, Illinois, to Charles and Mary Ann Meyer Mattingly. He married the love of his life, Mickey Sacry.

William is survived by his wife, Mickey; his son, Cody Mattingly of Bloomington, Illinois; his daughters, Courtney Mattingly of Bloomington, Illinois, and Mandy Mattingly of Normal, Illinois; his stepson, Michael Sacry; his stepdaughter, Megan Hoffman; and his grandson, Nolan Sacry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Mattingly.

William was an U.S. Army Veteran, serving during Vietnam. Bill loved to fish and feed the squirrels around the house. He bowled in a league for fun. 

He was a loving husband; father; stepfather; grandfather; devoted friend; and lover of his granddogs.
