PEORIA - Larry J. Murphy, 58 of Peoria, formerly of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the St. Frances Medical Center, Peoria.

Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11 A.M. in Graceland Cemetery, concluded by the "Flight Home" Ceremony. Visitation will be private at the Graceland/ Fairlawn Funeral Home. Larry was born on June 13, 1948 in Decatur a son of Lloyd and Dorothy L. (Cooper) Murphy. Larry was baptized at the Maroa Methodist Church. He attended school and grew up in Maroa and graduated from the Bloomington High School. He had been a car salesman for many years.

Surviving are his mother- Dorothy L. Baldwin of Decatur, step-mother- Delores Murphy, son- Timothy Murphy and wife Kerrie of Saugatuck, MI., daughter- Carissa May and husband Don of Bryon Center, MI., brother- Lloyd and wife Gwen of Mechanicsville, Va., sister- Linda French and husband Rod and three grandchildren- Logan, MacKenna and Luke.

He was preceded in death by his father.
